Transfer Watch: Eto’o, Januzaj, Fulgini and Lukic
Let me go home
Samuel Eto’o has reportedly turned down a €5 million, two year-deal from Santos. It seems the Cameroonian legend and former Inter player prefers a return to Italy rather than a new Brazilian adventure.
Eto’o, who is just three games short of triggering a one year extension to his current Everton contract, has strong ties to Milan and recently tied the knot with his long term girlfriend in the northern Italian city.
Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero is apparently in talks with sponsors to raise the €1.5 million yearly wage demands of the Everton forward. If a deal can be completed, it is thought Eto’o will be allowed to travel daily to Genoa from his Milan home.
However, with rumours of a late Inter Milan swoop surfacing, Eto’o may be able to swan into training after an extra hour or two of beauty sleep.
Get in line for Adnan
If the rumours of an Everton loan deal for Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj are to believed, then the Toffees may have to join a long queue to secure the services of the young Belgian international.
United boss Louis van Gaal is apparently keen to give the highly rated wide man more game time but with the likes of European giants PSG, Juventus and Porto showing interest, the blues will have to get in line.
Luckily, Roberto Martinez will surely be able to queue jump in front of WBA and Aston Villa who have also expressed an interest in taking the 19 year-old on loan.
Vonk coy on Lukic
Belgian journalist Sven Claes, a man who kept many an Evertonian on their toes during last summer’s chase of Romelu Lukaku, has revealed that Heerenveen are keeping their cards close to their chest in regards to a possible loan deal for Serbian prospect Stefan Lukic.
According to Claes, the Dutch club’s sporting director and former keeper, Hans Vonk, neither denied nor confirmed whether a deal for Lukic was likely or not when he said: “It’s just a rumour.”
Meanwhile, Everton have yet to comment on the claims made by the Partizan player that a deal to bring him to Goodison Park is imminent
That’s cleared that up then…..
Dutch club Heerenveen reacts on Stefan Lukic (18) from #Everton: “Just a rumour”, according to sportive director Hans Vonk. No confirmation.

French paper L’Equipe believe Everton are willing to fork out €500,000 on highly rated Valenciennes defender Angelo Fulgini.
Martinez however is not the only Spaniard interested in Fulgini. Ex-Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is keen to bring the Ligue 2 player to Napoli.
The youth international is one of a crop of highly regarded French youngsters and if Martinez is successful in his bid for Fulgini, the 19 year-old would join the likes of Brendan Galloway, Sam Byrne and David Henen in Everton’s development squad.
