Everton FC: Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy set to be honoured at the FAI International Football Awards

The toffees marauding full-back Seamus Coleman will go up against David Forde and Robbie Keane after all three were nominated for the Senior International Player of the Year Award.

Meanwhile, James McCarthy who has impressed in the Blues midfield since his summer move from Wigan, will face competition from Ciaran Clark and James McClean for the Young International Player of the Year.

Set to take place on Sunday, 2 March, the FAI International Football Awards will be broadcast live on RTÉ Two at 8.30pm.

Coleman was recently acclaimed as the ‘best right-back in the Barclays Premier League’ by none other than Irish assistant manager Roy Keane. And the man brought to Goodison Park from Sligo Rovers by David Moyes for just £60,000, looks nailed on to take the Irish Senior International Player of the Year Award.

With James McCarthy also in pole position to take the Young International Player of the Year, it could well end up being an Evertonian double celebration come the 2nd of March.
