Results! Everton’s Player of the Season So Far…

Everton’s player of the season….

Every season as we know, Everton get us to vote for our player of the season, so a little ahead of that, I wanted to get your views on who you thought was the best player of the season so far…

I had a poll posted in my previous post asking who you thought was Everton’s player of the season so far and my friends over at the ‘Everton Group’ and on its sister page ‘Everton Page‘ also posed the question. I was once again amazed at the brilliant response you all gave.

Here are some of your thoughts:

Thank you as always for your thoughts.

And now for the main event, the result of the poll:

Everton's Player of the season so far poll........

Some interesting votes! Seamus Coleman clinches Everton’s player of the season with an impressive 54% of the vote!! James McCarthy is just behind in second place and in third place is Gareth Barry.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote!!

Everton’s Player Of The Season So Far… My thoughts:

I think for me, as some of you have said, it is difficult to single out just one player. Everyone has come together this season and different players have shone at different times.

Sylvain Distin is most definitely up there for me, more as an unsung hero, he is a stalwart at the back. He hardly ever makes a mistake and is just a constant source of strength.

Ross Barkley has really started to show his true colours once again. Following his toe injury he made a rocky start, but now he’s back to his best and the only way is up!! Baines also is a game maker, excellent penalty taker and all round star!

However overall, I think I agree with the majority, that Seamus Coleman or ‘Goal-man’ (love it!) as many of you are branding him, has to be the best.

His goal scoring has been exceptional and his pace down the flanks is second to none! He constantly creates chances, is a key player all over the pitch, as well as being an amazing defensive player, arguably the best right back in the Premier League at the moment.

I really hope he stays with us and doesn’t leave us for the big buck clubs! He has gone from strength to strength, starting out as a Sligo Rovers player worth £150,000 to becoming an Everton legend worth in excess of £15 million!

Thank you so much to everyone who continues to read my blog, I love writing the posts and reading through all your thoughts!
