Plane Stupidity And Spite

Anyone doing Elstone’s business will be only be damaging their reputation in aid of such a worthless cause that is Elstone, and this board of directors.

A plane to thank Bill Kenwright for his ‘many achievements’ as chairman, that Stephen K, the fundraiser behind this project is fronting, is rather peculiar.

Remember the complaints about the Everton Board Out protest plane and the claims of a supposed lack of class from the Echo, former players, manager, and even West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady, as the clubs media campaign went into overdrive?

As for the motivation, is it to thank Bill Kenwright? Or to attack the vocal minority that oppose him.

“For a long time now, I’ve felt that a vocal minority were dominating headlines about the running of the club.

“It’s clear to many Evertonians that Bill Kenwright is a fantastic chairman with a really genuine love of the mighty blues. When the club does eventually change hands, we’re going to lose something major. Never again will we be owned by someone who understands what it means.

The speed at which the donations flew in, has confirmed this to me and we’re going to be able to fly a plane above Goodison at the villa game!”

Amongst all the sentimental guff about Bill Kenwright being a fantastic chairman, he lets slip the real target, it is that vocal minority.

It’s nothing more than a thoroughly dishonest and cynical ruse to attack the chairman’s critics.

It’s nice to see that planes are classy depending on the purpose of them as those that have criticised the Everton Board Out plane will now have to do a reverse ferret.

The unfortunate fact is that this is a spiteful and cynical attempt to goad the chairman’s critics.

So I repeat: “Anyone doing Elstone’s business will be only be damaging their reputation in aid of such a worthless cause that is Elstone, and this board of directors.”

I must confess to being surprised at the depths they have plumbed this time.

Hiring a plane to ostentatiously back the chairman and also goad a “vocal minority” of fans.

Real classy.
