New Deal For Kevin Mirallas
According to Belgian sports daily HLN, Everton boss Roberto Martinez is ready to reward Kevin Mirallas with a new three-year deal and keep the Belgian international at Goodison Park until 2019.
Mirallas, who has been in sparkling form since returning from a successful World Cup campaign in Brazil, has 2 years left on his current contract and Martinez is keen to tie down the Everton hit-man until at least 2019. HLN also report Mirallas is ready to sit down with the club to secure his immediate future at Goodison.
Speaking last week Mirallas confirmed he was happy at the club and revealed how his excellent form and growing status in the Blues dressing room has been a catalyst for Everton’s return to form after a difficult start to the season.
“My ambition is to be a top, top player and you need to have the right attitude to become one,” he said.
“Sometimes I would come into a game and think it’s easy, but you can’t play like that. It was a problem with my mentality which had to change and I’m working on it.
“Now I say every game is a big game and I say to myself ‘Come on Kevin.’ I have been saying to myself, ‘This season is my season.’
A new deal for Mirallas would see the Belgium following in the footsteps of Seamus Coleman, Leighton Baines, John Stones and Ross Barkley who have all recently committed their footballing futures to Everton FC.
