Karim Bellarabi: German press reporting Everton in three way battle to sign German under-21 international
According to reports in Germany, Everton will join fellow Premier League rivals Stoke City and Southampton in the race to sign 23-year old attacker Karim Bellarabi.
Currently on loan at German Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig, the Bayer Leverkusen youngster is also attracting interest from within Germany. With Hertha Berlin reportedly having made their interest in the player known to his parent club.
Bellarabi is building a reputation of being a technically gifted attacker who is able to play anywhere across the front line. And with the immediate future of Barcelona loanee Gerard Deulefeu far from certain, Everton boss Roberto Martinez, who will look to strengthen his squad in pre-season, could turn to the German born star in the summer transfer window.
From Ghanaian/Moroccan descent, Berlin born Karim Bellarabi has made 5 appearances for the German U21 national team. While the 2014 World Cup may come too early for the winger, the Bayern Leverkusen player is highly thought of in Germany.
